Laela screamed as the teeth sank into her throat. She felt blood starting to soak her fur. Tears blured her vision. Was this how it would end? Fighting? She decided there was no way she would die doing what she had opposed all her life. She scrambled at the she-cub's belly until she let go. Laela weakly got up and dragged herself to a tree surronded by bushes. She climbed under them, her tail sticking out
Holitorn was knocked off of the leader's back and thrown into the dust. He quickly got up agin and was about to leap for the white male when he smelt blood. Blood with his sister's smell on it. He stopped himself mid-leap and stared at where the smell was coming from. It was coming from beyond a bush and there he saw Laela's tail. He couldn't move. He was in shock.
Lapara just bearly dodged the pride leader's move when she heard Laela scream and she smelt blood. Her eyes followed a trail of red that lead to Laela's tail. She jumped forward and knocked aside the bushes that covered the rest of her. Laela was covered with her own blood and was unconsious. Her flank heavily rose and fell. Lapara immidately began licking her cub, trying to help the wound. She picked her daughter up by her scruff and dragged her into the clearing. "If any one of you ever threaten my cubs again, you will pay." Shr said, her eye's never leaving Isaray, who had red on her teeth. Lapara picked up Laela and hurried off into the bushes. She HAD to find help!
Holitorn came out of shock and followed his mother to try to help her carry his sister.
Lapara could feel her daughter's breathing getting shallower. She had one thought in her mind. Tej. He was the only cat she knew of that might help her. She ran to her den and onward. "TEJ!!!" She screamed, hoping he hadn't gone too far.

Izaray bared her teeth at Lapara, smiling at her victory against the cub. She had been too weak to fight back. 'Such a waste of life!' she sneered inside her mind and licked the blood from her teeth, beginning to swipe her tungue across her maw. She stopped and snarled at Lapara and her cubs before they left. "And don't come back!" she yelled after them, sticking her tail in the air before walking over to her father, the blood still left on her muzzle and paws. Her amber eyes still gleamed with the rush of battle when she sat in front of her father, throwing a glance at the white cub. He had fought beside the royal two. 'I bet daddy would let him join if he asked,' she thought, somehow brightened by the idea of the white cub beside her during training. She turned back to her father. "We won't be seeing them again, huh?" she said, narrowing her eyes in satisfaction, still smiling at their easy victory.
Anabi had heard Ezhno's roar followed by several others, most of them being pitiful cubs snarling. She signaled to her sisters with her tail, knowing they had heard as well. They all exchanged worried looks and left the dead bison in the cover of a few bushes befre they all bounded as one towards the sounds of battle. When the sisters arrived, the only signs of battle left was a retreating lioness with two cubs, one of them dripping with blood and hanging from the female's maw.
Anabi shuddered, somehow wondering if Ezhno had taken his fury out on the cub, seeing as how bloody she was. Suddenly, she saw her daughter trotting over to her father, her muzzle and paws drenched with blood, her eyes gleaming. She looked as if she didn't have a scratch on her! Her sisters muttered at the sight of the bloody cub, her cub, the one's whose heart and mind was the spitting image of her father's. Anabi shuddered, knowing how his sight furthered the ideas forming in her sisters' minds. Izaray would not be like her mother. She was the only one Ezhno had ever looked at as if he cared. 'I can not do anything more to save her from herself. She has already become Ezhno's daughter,' she thought and bounded over to her mate and daughter. She caught sight of a white male, certaintly no one she knew, but Ezhno made no advance towards him, so she saw no reason to give pursuit.
"What happened? I'm sorry we were not here sooner, but it was a long way off," she apologized, dipping her head submitively. She stared at the blood that pooled in one place in particular, and the trail that lead to a few spare bushes that the three lions she had seen disappear into while she kept her head low. She once again looked at her daughter and closed her eyes when she met her own gaze. she could not bear to see the glint that she had seen in Ezhno's so many times before after a battle or during a kill of prey.

Ezhno watched the family leave, a smile crossing his maw. His daughter had single pawdly ended the battle. He beamed downward, towards where his bloodied daughter sat. It was not her own blood on her body, it was the blood of the opposing cub. Crimson joy; scarlet victory.
"And if they do happen to mess with us again, I'll just set you on them." he responded fondly. As his pride finally appeared, his smile straightened, but a frown didn't replace it. The submissive tone of his head huntress was the first to be heard, and he ignored the look she gave their daughter. "A lioness had a disrespectful cub and I saw no other way but to fight in order to teach them some manners." he sat back on his haunches and wrapped his tail fondly around Izaray. "This female of ours ended the battle with one courages bite to a cubs neck." his smile returned his tone was a bellowing roar of pride.
Ackecheta watched the retreating family, a proud smile on his maw. It was not he who had ended the fight, but he couldn't help but feel brightened by the royal cubs victory. Even with him not being in Akando family, he stood and took a seat beside Izaray, sending one fond look towards her before quickly hiding it away. His pure white pelt had speckles of scarlet on it now, and his paws were stained the crimson color. He had drawn not of the blood however, all were from the bite Izaray had put forth.

A purr erupted from the small cub at her father's praise. According to the gossip of the other lionesses in the Pride, he hadn't shown any kind of affection for his other daughters before now. 'Probably because their all yellow-bellied wimps!' she thought, glaring at her Pride with a smile. As her father put his tail around her she saw the white cub beside her, his pelt speckled with the blood from her own fight that spattered the ground. She smiled at him, reaching her tail over to flick him on the leg, showing her appreciation.
Izaray stared at her mother as she unbent her head and stood in front of Ezhno, her eyes looking pained. She snorted and turned away from Anabi, to cast a glance at the white cub whose name she did not know. She quickly moved her gaze to her father, to watch his facial expressions throughout the conversation.
Anabi straighteed herself, her heart aching at the words she heard. Only Ezhno's acceptance showed how much Izaray was like her father. He wouldn't favor anyone who wasn't like him. She cleared her throat before speaking. "I see. It's no wonder that Izaray finished the battle," she said, keeping her voice even though her eyes probably betrayed her feelings.
As she spoke, she couldn't help but notice how the white cub and her own daughter bonded, both of them spattered with blood. This sight caused a smile to appear on her face unconsciously. 'Maybe Izaray really does have a bit of me in her heart,' she thought, still smiling with soft eyes. There would be no other explanation for the fondness in her gaze as she looked at the white cub.

Ezhno listened to the even tone, reading how the voice told a different story then the eyes. His mate was not as pleased or comforted as she let on, but this was no surprise to him. Izaray had been the first in his pride, other then himself, with any backbone. Only she had the soul of a leader.
Out of the corner of his eyes he caught his daughters tail flick the white males leg. Indecision reached Ezhno's gaze, a rare look for him. The cub had taken part in the fight, keeping the male whom attacked Ezhno's back busy, even when he could have lost his life. Not to mention the obvious spark between Izaray and the bloke. It was rare Ezhno took anyone not already large enough to battle within his pride, but perhaps this would be an acception.
Looking down to both daughter and stranger, his face was neither warm nor cold. It was stern, yet semi-gentle due to his fondness for his bloodthirsty kin. He was silent as he looked for a moment, before finally speaking in his cool and booming voice. "Young male, what is your name?" he demanded, but not harshly. He saw the cub hesitate, a pierce of anger going about his face. It was apparant the cub had no desire to be ordered anything. This only made Ezhno fonder.
"My name's Ackecheta, sir." it was obvious the male was not used to using the respectful term, but the fact that he forced it out brought a smile on the maw of the pride leader.
"Well, Ackecheta, I you fought beside us today as if we were blood. For that I thank you." he looked to Izaray, deciding to give her the ability to have a choice. "Daughter, since you have proven your high rank within Akando, I leave it up to you whether to decide if Ackecheta has a place within Akando." he wondered his daughters responce. He had never left it up to her whether or not to invite a lion into the pride.

Pricking her ears, she watched as her father and the male, Ackecheta, spoke to one another. During the whole ordeal, she noticed how her mother looked fondly at her, for the first time since she was one moon old. She glared at Anabi before turning back to answer her father's question. 'So I get to choose, huh?' she thought, knowing the answer would be yes. She hesitated, jsut to show her father she actually put thought into the decision.
He would be a good addition to the Pride. He had experience in the outside world, he was very clever and had survived without his parents or a pride for a while. Her father certainly approved of him, so why shouldn't he join? Turning to her father, she nodded. "He would make a useful addition, make Akando even stronger tha we already are. I think we should let him join," she said, blinking clearly at her father before resting her gaze on Ackecheta, a gleam in her eyes as she smiled at him.

Ackecheta stood tall and firm, wondering what the females choice would be. At her words, he smiled but pushed it aside. Remain cool...act like you don't care...He ordered himself harshly. Orbs laying carelessly on the male, he awaited the final words.
Ezhno watched his daughter think, amused how much thought she seemed to put into it. When she finally spoke, he listened guardedly. It seemed his kin accepted the male, so Ezhno had no reason to decline. Turning his cool orbs to the smaller figure, he kept a stern face. "Well then, Ackecheta, seeing as I have not heard an objection be uttered from your maw, I make it known now you are a cub of Akando. No more must you wander alone. Word to the wise, though, I do not take kindly to disrespect or cowardliness." his last words were cold before he looked back to Anabi. "You have no objection I would think." he didn't really care, but since she was head huntress he had to give her a little say.
Ackecheta felt a buzz go through his pure colored body. He was part of the strong hearted Akando! He looked to Izaray but quickly looked away. Instead he looked to the female Ezhno now spoke to. His eyes grew colder at the very scent of her. She didn't share the same blood tinted aura as Ezhno and Izaray; in fact she seemed the oppisite. Already Ackecheta didn't like the female, and it was plastered all over his face.

Izaray snorted when Ezhno acknowledged her mother, rolling her eyes and furthering the frank disgust she felt. She leaned over to Ackecheta, now no longer having to stay away form him. "That's my mother, Anabi, she's the head huntress. It's sad to say she'll more likely lead the others in an attack against my father sooner or later, but I know they won't succeed," she whispered, glaring at the other lionesses as she spoke.

OOC//: creative way to say you're braindead XD Oh, and I'll wait till you respond as Anabi before I reply as Ezhno.
Ackecheta turned his chocolate orbs to the lioness cub who spoke to him. He felt slightly uneas, not used to anyone getting so close to him, but in a way it was pleasant. His paws buzzed in some unfamiliar feeling before he actually listened to her words.
He kept his tone low as he responded, only wanting the fellow cub to hear. "Why would he choose someone so soft as his head huntress? Her very scent releases her beliefs." he scrunched up his nose, as if smelling something sour. In a way the scent was sour, so warm and fond.

Izaray snorted. "It isn't his fault she's the only one experienced enough to get the job. Besides, everyone else is just the same, sad to say, so there's no big deal," she hissed back, still glaring at her mother with dislike as she replied to her father's statement.
Bowing her head briefly, she turned to her sisters, an apology in her eyes before she turned to Ezhno. "Of course not," she muttered, casting glances to the whispering cubs at the feet of the alpha male.

Ezhno nodded his head, glad he would not have to use force to bring the male cub into the pride. He looked to the two cubs, whom whispered amoungst themselves. A smile formed, seeing the glare the two shared towards his other females. His daughter was perfect, and it seemed this cub was the same as her. Perhaps Akando wouldn't fall to the soft hearted world.
Looking back to Anabi, his smile straightened harshly. "Now, both Izaray and Ackecheta are hungry after such a fight. Lead us to the catch." he obviously assumed his lioness' caught something. All Hell he would release if they hadn't.
Ackecheta couldn't hold back his gag. How could a pride with such a strong hearted leader, and a cub to match, be home to so many foolish females? He shook his head, not understanding, but the look vanished at the mention of food. Looking to Anabi, his eyes were rockhard. His stomach was eating away at itself so they better have something waiting.

Falz had paused as his mother loped away. He now watched the end of the fight, his mouth watering as he heard food metioned. The little cub's belly rumbled. Falz blinked sadly at the lions. He and his mother would never have an pride. He slowly padded into the braken, his tail dragging in the dirt.
Hallow relized her cub was not behind her. "Falz!" she let out an alarmed cry darting back into teh area witch now held even more lions. Her hackles rose. Teeth bared she was about to demand were they had stashed her son, when hewalked back into sight. Her lips dropped back down, covering her fangs. Hallow shifted, keeping an angry eye on the other lions as she licked her cub. "Dont.Ever.Do.That.Again" she hissed.
The softest yowl caught the tiger's ears. tej's head spun around. Ears comming forward. Larpa? he wondered. But he had been called, and he had a job to do. The ginger cat took off, his huge paws slamming into the dirt as he ran. "Larpa!" he called, awaiting his answer.

Lapara heard the yell and dashed madly forward. When she found him, she gently set down Laela and said, "Oh thank the greater power that your here! I need your help, your the only one I know that I can trust other then my cubs. Do you know anything about healing at all. Can you help my daughter. Her eyes looked at the tiger with pleading eyes, unsure of wheather he knew anything, but she had to try. Laela's life was on the line.

Tej stared in horror at the blood matting the lions pelt. His wide eyes calmed though as he took in Larpa's destress. She hadn't killed anyone.. Well that was a relief. The tiger dipped his ginger head. "I do know a little, fallow me and keep a look out for a soft yellow flower" Turning Tej walked a little than looked over his shoulder, waiting for Larpa to fallow
