Vin As I lunged I watched in almost slow motion as the tiger sprang up, avoiding my attack. Predicting the counter-attack, I braced myself for his landing. I dug my claws into the dirt and locked my legs, waiting for the impact.
Sure enough, the tiger landed on me, but I wasn't prepared for his weight. I had forgotten that the tiger was as heavy as me. Though my limbs were locked, the buckled under the pressure and I sank lower to the ground, though I didn't collapse completely. As soon as my body got control of itself again I thrust myself upward with all my might, trying to throw the tiger off. There was no way I was going down from such a simple manuever.
Dalila A voice started yelling in my ear, distracting me from the snow leopard cowering beneath me. The leopardess was hurling insults at me, trying to lure me away from the cat below me. I growled at her, stepping back when she swiped a paw at me. One of my paws slipped off the snow leopard, leaving him pinned only under my other paw. That thought didn't occur to me as I stood frozen, debating my next move.
Kill the helpless snow leopard, or this insulting leopardess? I tried to be logical, but during battle was not the time to think out each maneuver. They had to come on a whim, and you had to hope it worked out. But I was frozen now, the worst thing you could do in a fight.

Bidziil He ceased to fight, this pathetic heap. I smirked as my jaws remained locked around the nape of his throat. Blood curled around my tongue, dripping out of the sides of my jaws. If I tightened my grip, I'd snap his neck and leave him paralyzed to die a slow, painful death. But his reaction--or lack thereof--left me believing that wouldn't be a good punishment. He seemed almost to be unable to feel pain.
That thought settled uneasily within my skull, and as I came to wrap my mind into acceptance. This cat could feel no pain. The thought infuried me even further, because now I realized I could do no suffering here. All he was was taking up space in this fight. I could be helping my comrad who fought two, rather than trying to torture a freak such as this. That's what I decided.
Eyes on fire, I stared down into the orbs of my oponent. He spat words of puppets and a shiver of fury ran up my spine. "I am no puppet, you painless freak." With those venomous words, I lunged down with viper speak, grabbing the jugular and tearing backwards. If he didn't die on contact, the blood loss would quickly kill him.
