He had only been here for an hour or two and already it was almost perfect. There was big prey and kind weather. The large lion padding threw this unclaimed area raised his muzzle again to scent. Just to be sure he wasn't in anothers territory. And no. Once again there was no trace of a claiming oder. Viper grew more and more exited the father he walked.
And every pawstep just got better.
Viper made his way in a wide circut around the land. The area he had found. His thick dark mane prickled in amazment that such a place was still open for the taking. He lifted his head slowly as he padded up the next low hill. This was his now. Viper was resolute. Throwing back his head, viper let his huge jaws part. "This is now Amani pride land!" he roared.

Each pawstep hurt as Akila walked. She wasn't sure how long she had been walking, but she had been on her own for three days now. No food, and only having water when she could have some. She was still a cub, how could she survive on her own? Taken away from her home before she could even learn anything useful. Most of her thoughts of her old pride dwelled on Amadi and their carefree days. The biggest thing that could happen to them would be getting away from something stupid they did and not getting in trouble.
Exhausted, Akila stopped for a moment and looked around. The landscape was nice, beautiful, in fact. The cub stood in silence for a while, just taking in the view. She eventually leaned back on her haunches; sitting was more comfortable. And then there was a roar.
"This is now Amani pride land!"
Akila nearly jumped out of her skin in surprise and fright. Her heart beat wildly, and the young lion's eyes darted around, looking for the source of the roar. The cub's eyes wandered up a hill, and upon the top stood a mighty lion, and Akila stared up at him in wide-eyed awe. She didn't even think to hide, she was in plain view just down the slope.

The male's eyes wandered down the slope as he heard paws scuffle in the dirt. Well, well. He thought to himself watching the small female as she stared. A cub? Viper smiled down at her. "Welcome young one!" he called down in his smooth calm voice. He padded slowly toward the cub. One soft step after another.
"What are you doing out here? And so... lost, looking?" Viper tried to look engouraging and kind. His soft eyes gleamed in the light.

Akila watched with awe as the lion roared, and then froze when he spotted her. She cowered submissively, remembering the ways in her old pride. When he addressed her with a calm, gentle voice, she relaxed. "I am lost." Akila answered softly, surprised the older lion had predicted her state. She didn't add any more. If this lion was claiming this land, he was now alpha, and she felt like she had to be spoken to first.

Viper smiled calmly at the cub. "Poor little one" he murmured sitting down next to the cub. It was nice to see a cub, but not when she was so..sad. "You dont have to be lost..." Viper said, thoughtfuly. He had a plan brewing. "You could stay here?" he formed the comment into a question.

Akila looked up at the lion in surprise. "Really?" She paused, wondering if the lion was only offering because he felt bad. "I mean - if that's okay. If not, I can leave. I am looking for a friend of mine." The last part came out in a rush. She didn't want to be a distraction to the lion if he was going to work on starting a pride. Akila wanted to stay, just for the sake of company, but at the same time her thoughts were on her friend.

OOC//: Huh, it seems we both had the same idea here, Miki XD I had Amadi join Sheelawolf's pride....well, what's going to be a pride once Kimoni is freed by Ezhno and rejoins his lion friend. But a pride will get them strong and when they join back together, perhaps, if they are old enough, I might add another pridelands, lol. Of course, the lion Amadi is with is not much for having a pride and slowly Amadi is changing his thoughts about being alpha. So it all depends....We'll see...lol. Sorry for spamming, I am just really bored, lol.

((Lol, I like that idea. Of them being alpha and head huntress one day, but only if Amadi wants to be alpha.))

Lapara walked along a small creak, her cubs following her. She saw a lion and a cub talking and started toward them. She stopped abruptly. If this was the alpha then they might end up joining the pride and then they'd never go to the cub's homeland again. She'd never see the tiger peace leader again. Was she willing to give it up? Then she remembered why they were out here in the first place. The pride over there had driven them out. She kept on walking.
Laela saw her mother start to walk towards a male and a cub. She rushed up, eager to meet this new cub.
Holitorn followed his sister and mother towards the She-cub and alpha, but a little reluctantly.

Akila's thoughts still dwadled on Amadi and her old pride. She looked up at the alpha, wondering what he would say. Half of her hoped the lion would say it was okay for her to stay, but the stronger half hoped he refused. She really wanted to go on searching for Amadi. The cub was sure her friend was still alive, he had to be. And if he were dead, the little lioness was sure her heart would feel heavier than it was now.
Her ears perked, hearing footsteps. Akila swiveled her head towards the sound, eyes widening as a lioness and two cubs approached. Were they a part of Viper's pride? Or did they too, just stumble across his territory? Akila waited for them to get close, so she could find out. Her tail lashed in excitement as she thought of playing with the other cubs.

Lapara raised her head. They were noticed! No turning back now. Oh well. She padded forward, finally reaching the alpha and cub.
Laela stayed by her mom the whole time.
Mooooom. Holitorn thought. Why couldn't they keep on going. He didn't like the looks of the alpha. He looked a bit like the alpha of the old pride. Holitorn followed his mom though.
Lapara took a deep breath and said, "Are you the alpha of a pride here?".

Akila knew that Viper would respond to the lioness and the chat would probably turn into some adult conversation. Her kit side though, kept her glancing at the other cubs. Her paws kneaded the ground, and Akila longed to be hyper and play. She could contain her excitement no more. She took a pawstep towards the other cubs, and grinned widely. "Hi." She mewed, her voice quiet as not to interupt the adults. "I'm Akila."

"Hi!" Laela excitedly but quietly said. "Nice to meet you Akila. I'm Laela and this is my brother Holitorn." She pointed to her brother who was standing next to their mom.
"Hi." Holitorn mumbled and backed away a little.
"My brother can be a little shy sometimes." Laela said. She flashed him a look that said 'Get you're tail over here and start being friendly!'.

Akila grinned, at least they were friendly. "Nice to meet you. Do you live around here?" She asked curiously, looking around the grassland. If they did, it sure was a nice place to have, it almost reminded her of her pridelands back in Africa. The cub blinked away the sorrow her memories brought, and tried to refocus her attention on the newcomers.

"Uh... no. We've been traveling alot lately." Laela said, which was the understatement of the century.
Holitorn took a few tentative steps forward and sniffed the new cub.
