"Tunnel of trees"------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tall broadleaf tree, with dark brown trunks and light green, small leaves. So many trees, so much shade... and the male serval liked it. He was the only serval in the land, at least that's what he knew. But was it true? Who knows? He was just enjoying life-- Arvin-- the little male serval. He was a very laid back, and even tempered... and lazy on hot days. And today was hot. Arvin walked, slowly, on a soft dirt path. Through a tunnel of trees... though, a very large tunnel like passage of extremely tall trees. The tunnel was bright, with green. Light shown through thin layers of leaves. Arvin liked it here... he felt like sleeping. Arvin headed forward, looking for a way out of the wall of trees. An opening between two trees was perfects for a slender cat like him to squeeze through. So he did. His eyes were now exposed to the sun. His pupils decreased in size at the brightness of the world outside of the forest. He was now in a meadow. With many hills and , and a very small number of lone trees. With little shade under them. The medium sized cat walked through the tall, green grass. There were miles of lush green grass. And Arvin spotted a stream... this place seemed perfect for a lazy cat to live peacfully. But was there prey? Big game, small game? Arvin would have to find out. Arvin walked up a hill, his tail swaying, his ears perked, his eyes relaxed. He panted, there was much heat. But Arvin was too busy enjoying the scenery and beauty of this place he had discovered. Arvin was very pleased with this place. But it could get really lonely out here. Arvin was a very social cat, and liked meeting others. He didn't know that anyone else was here. Did others know he was here, if there was others?

Nasyu swished her tail in the river boredly, staring at her sister. Neswaya was staring at nothing as usual, her eyes foggy with other worlds. A butterfly flew in front of her nose and she watched it for a few miments, before she spaced out again. It was quiet and peaceful, and for that Nasyu was greatful. They did not have to worry about anything, and Nasyu could enjoy the silence and the beauty of the day. Or so she thought. Suddenly a feline's scent reached her nose, and she stood up and turned to where it was coming from, eyes sharp as she tensed. A low growl came from her throat, and it was clear the jaguar was on the defensive. "Who's there?" she snapped, eyes ablaze.
Neswaya's eyes suddenly focused at her sister's growl and words, and she, too, stood up, gazing calmly in the direction of where her sister glared. She blinked in a docile way, her eyes merely curious instead of angry.

Arvin walked through the fields, over a hill, his eyes peered down. His eyes rested upon two felines. He wasn't alone. He stood, watching them for a moment. There scents reached his nose. His ears perked, he began breathing through his nose now-- instead of his mouth. Arvin's tail swayed about eagerly. He liked meeting others... but did the others want to meet him? Or simply forbid him to stay.
The male serval was smaller than these two. And these two could easily kill him if they wanted to. As he watched, one looked alert and on guard. One looked as if they just woke up. Arvin smiled slightly. The scent of them filled his nose-- they were females. Arvin was a charmer, even with aggressive females... but most of the time he had to watch his mouth. Cause there weren't a lot of females his size or smaller. Most were bigger than him. And these two were.
Arvin still stood, he was at least 100 feet away, he was on a hill. He tilted his head, with a smirk still on his devious face. He began to walk, towards the females. But now, he was beginning to become cautious. His ears still perked, his eyes glued onto the females before him. He approached them, showed no aggression or threat.
"Hello, my n ame is Arvin," he smirked--still.

"Hello there! I'm Neswaya," Neswaya said instantly to his name, earning her a frustrated looking from her sister. "But you can call me Nes, or Nessy." She smiled in a friendly way. It was obvious Nes was more prone to thinking the best of people, because she had already stepped a bit closer to the male.
Nasyu sighed in exasperation. "Hi. I'm Nasyu," she stated flatly, relaxing slightly because of his friendly introduction, but still with enough tension to show she was ready to fight if the situation required it.

Arvin, of course still smirking, looked at the first female that approached him. Her name was Neswaya. The male sat down, listening to the female. "Well then, hello Nes," his eyes half closed, but a flirty grin on his face. His gaze traveled over to the other female. She sighed and gave a hello, and her name. "And Nasyu," he gazed upon both of the females, they seemed close to his age. He wasn't positive though. He had seen the kind of cats they were-- jaguars.
His short tail swiveled in the grass, his large ears perked. His eyes stayed on the females. "So, how did you to get here?" his curiousity of knowing how they got to this paradise made Arvin eager. He found it through The Tunnel of Trees a few days ago, and slept in the same place. He wwas also curious when they came here?

"That direction," Nasyu answered, nodding somewhere toward the east. Neswaya sat by her sister and shrugged. "I didn't really pay attention," she said. With that, she was off in another world, spacing out again. Nasyu wanted to cuff her on the ears. There was a stranger about! "Sis," she grumbled, "Pay attention! For heaven's sakes, if you keep spacing out like that, I'm going to stop hunting for you!" "I can hunt," Nessy replied, and started off to prove that she could, indeed, hunt. "Sisters," Nasyu sighed, shaking her head.

The serval nodded as Nasyu told him which direction they came from. His smile seemed to vanish slowly. And listened as the other female said she didn't pay attention. And seemed to look off. Arvin looked at the obviously angry female, and yelled at her friend-- saying she'll stop hunting for her. Arvin smiled, with a laughing sigh.
Arvin tilted his head. "And another question, when did you come here?" he breathed steadily as he watched these two interact with each other. He sat down of his haunches, his tail curled around the side of him. He was really curious around these two, as friends of course.

"Not too long ago," Nasyu answered. Neswaya had succesfully caught a rabbit; it was clear this paradise had a plentiful amount of food. She came over to Arvin and Nasyu. "I told you I can hunt," Neswaya said trumphantly around the rabbit. "I hope you're hungry, because I'm not and that, Nessy, is a waste of food," Nasyu said flatly.

The spotted male listened to Nasyu as she spoke of when they came. Not much detail... Arvin sighed slightly. But these two were friendly, at least, not showing aggression anyway.
Arvin watched as Nes walked up with a rabbit in her mouth. Now Arvin knew of one species that lived here as prey-- rabbits. The serval stood up, and bowed down, to stretch out, his tail curled up. His mouth mouthed wide, yawning.
Arvin stood back up, then sat down again. His ears perked, eyes watching. He watched as the two discussed who was hungry, Arvin wasn't hungry though... he'd just been eating fish from the stream latley. He wasn't that hungry.
Arvin looked up at the sky, it was clear, blue. Only a few clouds in the sky, but not enough to get rain. And it was summer, rain was probably scarce in the summer in The States. But there wasn't much rain in Africa either. So Arvin shrugged it off.

"You're so bossy, Nas," Neswaya informed her sister, before dutifully going to eat the rabbit. "So, which way did you get in here?" Nasyu aked Arvin, "And how long have you been staying?"
WOOC; Curse you, writer's block!

Arvin watched the females, how the one with the rabbit mouthed off to the other. Arvin smiled. His large round ears perked. His tail wagged about behind him. One began talking, asking him a simple question or two. "I came from the South, and have been here for actually not that long. But long enough to know that this is paradise. The prey is not too large for such a small feline like myself. And there is this stream here that carries fish along with it. And I have the perfect den." Arvin smiled. He stood up and stretched out his hind legs. Then he bowed; stretching his forelegs and back. He felt his muscles loosen and release tension.
As he stretched his tail curved. His ears darted back, he let out a nice, retentive yawn. As he stood back up, his muscles much more felt relaxed. He liked it. He looked at both of the females. "Do plan on staying here? Like, making this your home?" he asked.
