He stepped swiftly, holy disturbed by the land around him. Barren scrub brush fell away form him for miles. Barren was not a word he dealt with well. Golden pelt built for this terrain he was perfectly camouflaged-simulating his environment as he was meant to- but it didn't make him feel any better. Tuma counted his heart beats as the pounded in his ears. Black audials pressed tightly against his skull the leopard skirted yet another thorn bush with hesitant thumps of his heavy paws. This place was simply terrifying. In his minds eyes he saw himself, a blatant target in a land of nothing. A thing easily attacked, and his paranoia spread.
Maybe this was where his dear had gone, where his sister had vanished. Maybe the near desert had opened up and swallowed her whole. A shudder ran through his body as that image transverses his mind. With a solid glare set on the ground, he shifted his weight carefully, for a moment not trusting the ground under his body. But then mother earth had never let him down, and so placated the man hurried on his way. Tuma had never been one for conversation, and though he worried over Anna's thoughts of his vanishing he hoped she knew he would go back to her. Zonta was his place, and he wouldn't leave his friend. He knew too well the hurt that came with vanishings.
Ringed tail lashing behind his lanky body, Tuma half ran in his awkward trot. He was unsure as to the reason for his coming out here, it was probably just the need to feel something other then snow on his feet. Though this place was blissfully free of the cold stuff, it was also horridly free of any cover. In fact he half expected a giant hawk, the legendary Ra to come and pluck him from the world. If others wanted to fly then let them. This leopard was perfectly happy with all four feet stuck fast to the brittle grasses he walked upon.

Malika_____________________________________________________________________ The lonely leopardess wandered alone through this barren place spread out before her eyes like a blanket- but not the welcoming sort. It was beautiful for Malika, in a strange way she couldn't understand herself. Maybe it was the loneliness, or the way the sky was always so blue. Maybe it was the vulnerability, which made Malika feel slightly strange about herself for thinking such a thing.
The air almost fizzed with the heat that haunted this world, and the ground was dry and barren, rough against her soft pads. The horizon looked more like a dull brown sea, as the heat haze churned her vision into waves.
Malika wandered onwards, her head down and her mouth hanging open, pink tongue rolling out to one side. She panted slightly, in the strange way that cats do, with a slight squeak to her pants. She was thirsty, but this place was so exiting!.
Holding her head up to scan the area in front of her with amber eyes, she was almost certain something was moving up ahead. She shook her head with a grunt, telling herself her eyes where playing tricks with her.
Malika made her way across a particularly densely thorned area, her paws sometimes brushing millimeters from a few taller thorns, making her heart skip a beat. If there was one thing that the strong Malika detested, it was wounds on her paws. She could not stand them!
She shook her head once she made her way out of the thorns, and once again scanned the vast area before her. The shape was there now, she could smell him. He walked alone as Malika herself did, he was tense and nervous, the leopardess could tell just by his body language. Malika, not wanting to alarm the other leopard, decided sneaking up behind wasn't the best idea in the world and nervously called out "h-hello there?"Words: 316 (SOOO LITTLEEE) Sorry for the wait, i wanted it to be perfect *-*
