Alia jerked awake, panting heavily. She quickly licked her lips, removing any signs of drool. Her panting subsided and the leopardess looked around. The small group she was with rested for the night in the clearing they had met. It seemed safe enough, and Alec had even gone hunting for the group. He came back with two rabbits and a bird. It was a small meal, but enough to take the edge off of everyone's hunger.
Thinking of the ocelot, Alia glanced at him. He was curled up in a ball nearby, and the others were around too. The leopard got to her paws, not bothering to go back to sleep. It was earlier than she usually got up, but not by much. The sun was still below the horizon, but there was light spilling out. Alia padded over to the edge of the clearing, shimmying up the tree to one of the lower branches. She draped herself out, watching the sunrise. Her mind mulled over the dream she had that night, the one with her conversation with Dio.
((Just thought I'd continue their group's thread...since they are pretty important characters lol.))

Green orbs danced awake as a cub leapt to her paws. The female couldn't contain herself as she bounded to where the leopard resided. Her leap was graceful, but she still managed to shake the whole branch on her landing, despite her small stature. The excitement vibrated off her as she stood behind the leopard, not trusting the thinner section of branch that was in front of the large shecat. "Alia! Alia! I had the most exciting dream last night!" she yowled in total enthrillment.

Alia had heard the young ocelot arrival, and she turned to face Bhuvana. She could see the she-cat better, and make better conversation. She scooted over a tad, so that Bhuvana wouldn't have to totter precariously on the branch.
The leopard then threw herself into the conversation, eager as Bhuvana to discuss their dream. "I did too! Tell me about yours." She mewed, her voice curious and softer than Bhuvana's loud, excited one. She cast a glance at the still sleeping Alec, who Alia was unsure whether or not he was to be involved in this situation.

Greatfully, I made myself more comfortable on the branch as I was given more room, then connected eyes with Alia. However excited I was, I glanced towards Alec and hesitated. "Um, actually, can we wait till he wakes up?" I paused, unsure if Alia was aware Dio wanted Alec to be aware so as to be a follower. "My dream was with Dio and he said for Alec to be let in so as to follow." I grinned but then it vanished in an unsure manner. Had it been a dream, or had Dio really come to me? "You did get a dream with Dio, didn't you?" my voice was filled with uncertainty. Somehow or another, I was pretty sure that had not been just a dream.

Alia listened intently, and she trusted Bhuvana's word that Alec was safe to join them. Thinking of the other ocelot, the leopard turned to look at him. Alec was mumbling in his sleep and tossing and turning. Alia rolled her eyes, about to comment on his sleeping patterns, but Bhuvana was speaking again. Alia turned back to her younger friend.
"I did indeed," Alia smiled, "If I didn't, I would probably be acting like you were crazy. But right now, you should go wake Alec up, otherwise I think he'd sleep all day." The leopard stood up and stretched, she leaped down from the tree branch, knowing there wouldn't be enough room to fit the three of them on the tree. She waited at the trunk for Bhuvana.

The excitement in my gut grew as I followed the female out of the tree. It hadn't been a simple dream, ths I now knew. However, I didn't quite understand just how impotant my role really was, just that I was excited about meeting the famous Dio. Another thing I didn't quite understand was how to be curtious and the proper way to wake a cat. Alec was about to learn my teniques the hard way. As silent as my paws could carry me, I stalked towards my ocelot opponent. Once only a tail length from the unaware prey, I lunged at full force, not worrying about my smaller, feminine body harming his larger, masculine one. "Alec! Alec!" I screeched in a joyous tone.

Alec's dreams vanished as a sudden force hit him, knocking the breath out of the young ocelot. He inhaled sharply and sat up, looking around wildly. He saw no one at first and sprang to his paws, ready to fend off his attacker. "Wha-?" His question was interrupted by a joyous voice, and Alec turned to see Bhuvana, practically drowning in her own happiness.
It took him a moment to realize that it was probably the other ocelot who had awaken him, and his tense posture evaporated, replaced by an easy-going one. "What is it, Bhuvana?" He asked, knowing she was eager to say something. An amused grin curved in his maw, he padded closer and sat down to hear what she had to say.

Once the male was awake and aware, I grinned even wider. At his question, I turned and trotted towards the leopard, all the while saying my short explanation with an innocent and careless voice. "Us three have something huge to discuss. You won't want to miss out."

Alec had to follow Bhuvana to hear what she was saying. Something huge? What did she mean? His curiousity won over and Alec eagerly followed. He had only known Bhuvana for a short while, but he could tell that she meant something important if she was talking huge. He dutifully followed her over to Alia, his eyes burning with curiousity. "What is it that you don't want me to miss out on?"
Alia had made herself comfortable while Bhuvana had gone to fetch Alec. She was sitting down, her tail curled around her paws. She was grooming her chest when the two ocelots returned. The leopardess looked up and smiled at the younger cats, and especially since she heard Alec's question. "We don't want you to miss out on the biggest event in your lifetime. In our lifetimes." Alia knew she may be exaggerating a little, but saving felines around the world from Murder Apes was a pretty big deal. The leopard looked at Bhuvana, her eyes glittering happily. "Bhuvana, why don't you explain further?"

My trot was wobbly as I approached the leopardess, due to the excitement coursing through my viens. As the female told how I should explain further, I didn't een bother to sit down. Instead I spun to be face to face with Alec, my eyes wide and lips in a huge smile. "You've heard of Dio, right?" I didn't even give the cub a chance to answer. Everyone ha heard of Dio, hadn't they? I couldn't comprhend the thought that some felines hadn't. "Well, he visited me and Alia i a dream last night. We're chosen ones, or Peace Leaders was his term, and you're supposed to be a follower of sorts!" my whole body wiggled in excitement and I couldn't go any further. If I tried, I'd probably explode.

Alec listened raptly, and he couldn't help feeling excited. Bhuvana's feelings were contagious. Of course he had heard of Dio, and the ocelot believed in the higher being. As Bhuvana went on Alec had a brief bout of disbelief. A dream shared with Dio? Peace leaders? Chosen ones? Be a follower? Alec's eyes flashed to Alia, and she nodded sympathetically. "It's true, but I think young Bhuvana has poured too much on you at once." The leopard grinned, but her tone was not harsh, it was amused in fact. Alec nodded, and he slowly chewed through what he was told. Finally he looked back at Bhuvana. "Okay, so what else did Dio tell you? Just that you're Peace Leaders? Or did he give you some starting instructions?"

I gave a sheepish chuckle as Alia made the statement. My emotions were in such a jumble I couldn't quite controlmy thoughts, words, or actions. However, at the question Alec presented, I was forced to calm down and look to Alia. "Actually, Dio told me to talk to Alia about that. He didn't have time to give me the same dream as he had for everyone else."

Alia was taken aback, but she quickly shook off the feeling. "Oh, right. Well, Dio told me that the four peace leaders would meet tonight at the northern border of Akando territory. I don't know what will happen then, but at least everyone will meet each other." Alia paused, and looked from Alec to Bhuvana and back. "Alec, I'm assuming you've decided to travel with us. Why else would Dio allow you to hear our plans?"
Alec was surprised that Alia guessed his intentions. Even though he had known the two she-cats less than a day, he felt he knew them better than any other cat he had met in a while. He also had a fond spot for Bhuvana, and the young ocelot couldn't yet understand that feeling. He would go along and do what he had to. Save the feline world from humans. Fine. Protect his friends from danger. Most definately.
Alec realized Alia was waiting for an answer, and he smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, I kinda was thinking that. It was like you read my mind." The ocelot paused, then went on. "And anything you discuss about your revolution, well, my lips are sealed and you can trust me. I'll help in any way possible."

.:Bhuvana:. I almost burst out of my skin in excitement at Alec's decision to remain with us. There was something about that male that made me tingle, though I couldn't quite comprehend any feeling past friendship yet. I gave a purr of pleasure before my gaze spun over to the leopardess. "Uh, I really hope you have a better idea of where Akando is then I do. All I know is their alpha is a jerk...well, according to passing loners he is anyway." My voice was jittery with excitement, but a trace of anxiety could be heard as well. Why kind of danger were me and my friends getting into? That thought was quickly pushed aside. I felt a safety near Alia, one that cub would only feel near their parents.

At the thought of possibly encountering a fierce lion, Alec sank his claws into the ground. Even though a trickle of fear pricked at him, the ocelot would much rather fight a fierce lion than see one of his friends hurt. He glanced at the leopard, "Am I allowed to come to this meeting? Or would it be better off if I stayed out of it?"
Alia wasn't exactly sure how to answer Alec's question. It would probably be best if he stayed out of it, but he could hear the plans later on from Bhuvana and herself. Alia glanced at Bhuvana when she answered, hoping the younger ocelot would agree. "You should stay out of it. Just for the Peace leaders, I think it would make them more willing to share whatever they know. But you'll probably hear about it from us later."
