The Master of The Mountains

Broken travels... ever heard of it? It's when one is traveling, and someone interrupts. Maybe someone could break one's travels by asking for help or forbidding them to go any further. And broken travels is what one cat hated, the most about others. He was a very large feline, bigger than your average sized Siberian Tiger... and for the most part; he was mean. He wasn't afraid to kill another, even for stupid reasons. Neptune was his name. A zoo is Russia decided to name his family after some Roman and Greek Gods and Goddesses-- for some strange reason. But Neptune didn't mind. And since he liked the name, that's the only thing anyone should call him, or else he wouldn't be too happy. Neptune wasn't exactly... sociable. He never did get along with males he wasn't related to. But females... he liked being around them. Especially flirty ones. Neptune could get flirty with a female feline, if he liked her enough. But he usually used kind, sweet words. But males; he would use harsh, cold words-- even if a male was submissive. He just doesn't get along well with males, end of story, right there.

Dawn; when the sun rises from the mountains, the sun began to lay shadows and streaks of colors across the awakening land. A meadow, a nice, golden meadow with mountains surrounding it. It was fairly hot here, but the Siberian Tiger enjoyed the land, and began to adapt to the heat, which was almost opposite of where he once lived. He had traveled not far to get here, and planned to explore, know this meadow by heart... and be The Master of The Mountains. And of course this meadow-- this meadow would be his life now, he should scope the land-- HIS land. He walked, gracefully, and sturdy, through the tall gold grass. His maw hung open, panting slightly; because of the heat.

Neptune's tail swung about, relaxed. Neptune's whole body was relaxed. This place made him feel excited to live here. And he knew that prey was here. He saw some herds of deer. He found a pond-- so food and water were always nearby. And he found a great den to rest and sleep in. And it was very big. Big enough for lots of tigers to to lay in it-- it was an abandoned pioneer cabin. And he had it all to himself. Yes it had broken windows and no doors but Neptune loved it., it also had a small stairway, to a brightened attic, where he stashed his food. There was windows up there as well, but not shattered like the downstairs ones. He was glad about that as well. He walked around his cabin, sniffing the faint scents. If any thing or anyone was here, it was a long time ago. He knew it. His eyes scanned the scenery... thoughts raced through his mind. Intense feelings of others being here.

Neptune knew that he might encounter someone, but he wouldn't mind if it was a NICE female on his land. But a bratty female or a male would be a different story. The only way he'd be nice to an adult male was if the male was small, and weak. Then he might give them free food, but only if they did chores and errands for Neptune; such as scouting the land for intruders and such.

The male watched the sun rise higher, and his grassland began to become more lively and awake. Birds chirping, and some ducks. Deer passing through. And often some types of other small mammals would be seen. Neptune's eyes glanced at the sky; clouds, big clouds. It had to rain soon... those clouds were heavy in the bright sky. The sun often disappeared for a few seconds or sometimes a few minutes... bringing lots of shade.

Today is a good day for now.....

I paddle into the mountians for some peace and quite. The sun is high so I hope to find some where shady and cool. Water is a need to I have been looking for water for a while and I found some, but I must keep on moving meeting new felines. I have heard a rumor that a tiger lives in these mountians. 'It true my darling' says the voices. "Shut up" I roared " I want a peaceful day with out you bothering me!"
'Fine' said the voices then they dissapered.

[Bellatrix]

Blue fur rubbed against every tree that was in site. Petite claws dug in to bark claiming the land; she had made sure her scent was everywhere. Lying low in the bushes giant blue eyes watched as a female deer wondered by, the female stood still her body blended completely in with her surroundings, ears flat back as she inched closer. Her thickly padded paws making no sound as the large cat belly-crawled towards the doe. Waiting until the dear was completely relaxed she sprung her teeth closing around the doe's throat breaking its neck with ease, claws dug into the creatures belly and she started ripping pieces of flesh from the corpse. She ate quickly, a sense of uneasiness settled into her heart like a stone thrown into the a deep lake. Leaving the remains she jumped into the canopy cleaning herself and stretching her spine arching and her claws spread. Standing the Maltese took advantage of the powerful muscles the cat leaped on to a neighboring tree. She moved quickly trying to ease her growing sense of uneasiness.

As Neptune walked, the only thing he saw; was his mountains and meadow of course. Neptune was very proud of his discovery. This land was more than what he expected. Lots of deer, lots of foliage, and lots of space. Neptune loved having space to himself and maybe share it with someone... Neptune wasn't someone that could get lonely easily. He could go weeks without talking to anyone before getting lonely. Neptune stopped walking, sat down and felt the soft, comforting breeze. Which made him feel more at home. He licked his maw. And opened his mouth, whiskers aimed forward. Tongue shot backward. He yawned, heavily. But was he tired? No. It was just a quick yawn.

Neptune stood up, slowly. His tail hung, relaxed. He began to strut along in the tall golden field. Neptune had rubbed his scent and urinated around this place. He rubbed against most bushes and trunks of trees... and there was one place he forgot to mark. It was a little ways opposite of his den. Neptune began trotting over their. As he came near to the trees over this way he noticed a strong scent. Not his, not plants, not prey. Neptune knew that kind of smell anywhere. It smelt similar to that of a female feline. Neptune's tail rose and flickered anxiously. His eyes searched, but his feet did not move from where he stood. His eyes scanned the scenery of the bushes. But no one could be seen.

Neptune listened. Watched. He kept hearing noises from above. As if a bunch of birds or a bunch of squirrels were making noise up there. But is they were birds; they'd be chirping. He began looking up, but didn't see much...

[Bellatrix]

Bellatrix's tail dropped. She stared down at the reason of her uneasiness. A large male was directly below her, she opened her mouth in a slient snarl, the tip of her tail twitched and she glared down at him, he was nearly twice her size there was no way she could take him. Cocking her head she lifted her ears and inhaled trying to remember his scent. Climbing down her coat blended in with the dark shadows, crouching low her eyes watched him intendly debating on what to do. Licking her muzzle the small cat moved closer to the trees. Looking up she willed a bird to chirp so he wouldn't notice her. As if the robins heard her thoughts the loud fight broke out above her head. Bellatrix snarled to herself Of corse! Draw attention to me. Stupid creatures. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place. If she made a jump for the trees he would hear her and if the birds kept up he would step on her or see her. She stilled her mind and sealed herself away focusing on his everymove.

His eyes still searched in the darkness of the trees. Neptune stood, still. Silent. The breeze seemed to be pushing him towards the darkness between the trees and bushes. More noises, Neptune noticed the birds. He stepped closer just to make sure it was only birds. The darkness seemed to form, he saw stripes. The scent of a female was heavier in the air. Neptune's silver eyes watched the stripes, she was facing him. Neptune was at least 7 feet from her. Neptune noticed, that she was half his size. His ears perked. His tail hung, still. His silver eyes were locked onto this stranger. She wasn't like a normal colored tiger, she was grey. She was an unusual coloration, just like Neptune was.

Neptune licked his maw. He did not snarl, he did not move. He simply opened his mouth and spoke gentle. "Hello; Stranger,"

[Tiger]

Yesenia kept her tail low. The tip twitched every so often, though her fur would poof out every time she heard a noise. Nervous and antsy, she kept looking around. Thoughts in her head acted like they were in a race or competition, and she couldn't keep anything straight. Her pale blue scanned the area, their faint coloring standing out. Then - she heard something. It sounded like a noise from a feline! Company? She felt excitement, and for the briefest of seconds her tail straightened out and lashes back and forth, before she put it down. They may not be nice... Or even not a feline...
She continued to walk closer, and then she saw them. A large tiger, a huge tiger. Then a smaller tiger on the ground. She shrunk back, scared. She was a small tiger, and he was huge! She remained where she was, pressing low to the ground and watching.
Would he see her, and if he did, was he friendly?

[Bellatrix]

Bellatrix's eyes widened, "Hello." She cleared her throat and stood up her small height and length made her feel vunerible. She kept her expression guarded and tried hard to keep the curiuosity out of her eyes, looking around she noted her escape root should there be need of it. Shifting slightly she made it easier to run if he decided to attack. "I wasn't aware anyone had claimed this land." She made it a statement her voice confident and strong, even if she was still unsure. "I'll be on my way, I'll find my own territory." She stood still waiting for him to move. Her eyes were still locked with his and she somehow became calmer, but she pushed it aside knowing that it was false.

Neptune's gaze was unmoved as she stood up and spoke, his eyes still staring into hers. He listened to her voice, she said she didn't know that this place what claimed. "I didn't know either-- you've marked here as well?" his gaze was welcoming, his voice calm. As she said she would leave, Neptune stood still. "Wait, you don't have to leave." his ears darted back, his head lowered slightly. He couldn't help but notice her unusual coloration. "You're coat, it's grey. Unlike most tigers." he smiled. Neptune glanced at his own pelt but looked back at the female that stood before him. The way the female's pelt colors were grey was attractive to him.

Neptune smiled. "What is your name, tigress?" he felt calm around her, if she decided she wanted to attack. He would shrug it off. She couldn't do horrible damage to him, and he wouldn't want to harm a gorgeous pelt like hers. If she ran, he would let her. He wasn't one to keep others trapped, if they were afraid. Neptune was very curious at what her name might be, his tail flickered, his ears perked, and his silver eyes never left her eyes. He licked his maw-- again. His muscles were still relaxed.

Another smell reached Neptune's nose. If anyone knew the smell of a female, it was Neptune. It must have been another female, he was eager to look around. But he was curious hwat the female's name was. If she didn't answer, and possibly ran off. He would always be curious. But he had a slighty feeling that she just might.

[Bellatrix]

"Bellatrix.I like it here; you don't mind if u stay?" She sat down uneasiness still fading. Bellatrix's ear's perked up, a small smile on her face. She moved her gaze looking at his coat, it was odd, she liked it. Standing up she moved around him looking at him, She purred softly. "Your coat is very lovely." Bellatrix's voice was low looking at him she sat down again behind him. "What is your name?" She could smell an other female but it was faint, then again this tiger's scent was so strong is made her slightly dizy. Her head cocked, blue eyes stared at him with wonder her mask slipping. "Are you going to attack me?"

[Tiger]

Hearing them chat for a while built up Yesenia's confidence. She stood up, stretched, and then moved forward. She said softly, "Hello." They were friendly! Oh, she hoped they were friendly!

Neptune smirked. As she spoke. her name was Bellatrix. Neptune's spirit lifted. "I would not mind at all, Bellatrix," his small smirk turned into a grin as her eyes traveled around his pelt. He watched her, smile still there as she stood and walked around him. He heard a soft purr coming from her. "You're coat is gorgeous, so unique." He heard her ask for his name. "My name is Neptune, son of Poseidon and Luna." He walked around her, observing her stripe pattern and memorizing her scent. Neptune's ears perked and she started to speak again. "Now why would I attack such a wonderful creature like yourself?"

Shortly after Neptune spoke, a female waltz up; greeting both of them. Neptune was pleased to know it was a female. "Why hello there." Neptune grinned to himself. This new female had a white and black pelt. This must had been Neptune's lucky day.

[Bellatrix]

Bellatrix looked over the new female, so little. She thought to herself with a sigh. "Hello there." Her head didnt move as she greeted to new comer. "You see, most people try to jump on me. It's pleasent to meet someone who won't." she moved again inhaling his scent. She circled the new girl. "What is your name little one?" her voice was apathtic, her ears slightly back, she felt as if this new female was a threat, but to whom and why she didn't know or understand. Bellatix laid on the ground and rolled. Suddenly wanting to play.

[Tiger]

"My name's Yesenia," she said, caution still there but slowly fading. "Sometimes people call me Sen or Seni." She looks back and forth between Neptune and Bellatrix. When Bellatrix looked playful, she smiled.
"So they are friendly," she quietly mused aloud. Could she find some company here?

[Nopeita]

Neptune couldn't help but smile as Bellatrix spoke again. He looked over her markings, memorizing those as he memorized her scent. Neptune watched as Bellatrix walked around the little white tiger.

Neptune knew, by there size and voices; that both of these tigress' were younger than him, by a year at least. Neptune laid on his stomach while the who females spoke to one another. Bellatrix asked the others name. And she began rolling in the grass. Neptune watched Bellatrix, while listening to the white tigress. She said her name was Yesenia, or Sen or Seni. Yesenia seemed happy, bubbly. Neptune turned his head slowly and looked at her, she was smiling. He looked at Bellatrix, then at Yesenia.

"It's nice to meet both of you tigresses." He announced proudly. Neptune licked his maw once more. For it was beginning to become a habit. His ears perked and he waited for the others to speak.
