One male spotted me and I could see him visibly become unsure. I became self concious-- maybe this had been a bad idea. But that thought fled as the female I'd spoken to returned my greeting and asked how I was. I dared to glance at her, my big eyes holding a mild saddness and distrust. "I am okay. Am I interupting something?" I sent a halfway glance at the two males, and then the female who stood firmly in between them. "I am not one to intrude." Before I could give them a chance to answer, I turned and started my retreat. Stupid boy. I should never have approached them. Now I have proved to them what I try so hard to hide-- the fact that I really am an idiotic loser.

"Your fine. Not interrupting a thing." Bellatrix looked at the cub and her heart melted. "What is your name little one?" Her voice was gentle and low. She moved out of the way of the loin and towards the leopard. Her eyes traveled towards Neptune. "You aren't going to try to attack him are you?" There was a sharp edge to her voice when she spoke to the large male.

"My name's Yesenia, if you're curious," she said, adding to Bellatrix's words, "You may call me Sen or Seni."
WOOC; I am sorry everyone @-0 0-@ I cannot find a way to make that longer.

Neptune observed the way Yesenia interacted with the cub. His ears perked as he watched her say hello, and the cub replied. The cub... he didn't use useless words. He sounded... smart... mature. Unlike most cubs. Neptune liked that. Bellatrix said hello and asked Neptune if he would attack. Neptune's eyes widened. He felt a slight bit of anger. "Why would I harm a cub?" Neptune was offended by Bellatrix's words. He gave her a dirty look... but her face made him smile. He smiled at her. Making up for his not-so-pleasant look. Though Neptune didn't get along with most males, doesn't mean he hates all... Especially cubs. As Neptune looked at the cub's eyes, he saw a cub who was different. He acted mature. And Neptune liked that. He watched as the cub turned and started walking away. Neptune watched. The cub... looked so... adorable. Neptune most likely wouldn't admit that he thought the cub was cute, but he sure would show it.
As Neptune watched the cub walk away, he felt the urge to stop him from leaving. He glanced at Bellatrix and Yesenia... then he stepped three steps forward. "Wait. What is your name?" His voice wasn't like how he talked to the females, or the male lion. His voice was gentle, sweet... Neptune's silver eyes locked on the cub, his gaze soft and welcoming.

Just because I'm losing, doesn't mean I'm lost. Doesn't mean I'll stop, doesn't mean I'm in a cross.
The first to react was the female who had been facing the male. She pranced to me with a gentle smile, only darkening when she questioned the male about attacking me. A iceprick of fear erupted when she spoke those words, worry towards the adult tiger running through my barely formed muscle. Attack me? But before I could turn and glare uneasily at the male, he was in front of my with the friendliest expression. I had missed any rebuttal he'd spoken, but I could read he was of no threat. For now.
"My name is--" I paused for an exaggerated second, knowing with my name I always gave meaning. Well, I would always give meaning. No on ever cared to learn my name, but I felt the need to share the translation if I shared the name. But I was hesitating with this male. Would the meaning deam me an unworthy male to this stranger? My brother had always teased me about the meaning, saying it made me soft. But daddy assured me that just because something is has a gentle name, does not mean that were unworthy.
"My name is Bo. It means precious." I dropped my big eyes at that, staring at my now shuffling paws. A small twinge of male pride lunged forward, giving fire to my gaze so as to bring my eyes to meet the male's again. "But just because I am precious, doesn't mean I am weak." My eyes dropped again, tail lowering submissivly. "Sorry, sir, I get defensive. My brother used to tease me about the meaning of my name. Mommy said I was a precious gem, thus leading to my name. Daddy said he was just jealous, but I tended to believe my brother on many occasions."
Just because I'm hurting, doesn't mean I'm hurt. Doesn't mean I didn't get what I deserve, no better and no worse.

Bellatrix moved towards the cub her pelt rubbing accidently against Neptune's. She smiled at Bo, "Such a lovely name." looking around her gaze landed on Seni. "What is the meaning of your name?" She laid down near the cub her heavy head agianst her paws. She found her tail around Neptune's leg; embarassed she quickly moved her tail away.

"What a lovely name," Yesenia told the cub. As Bellatrix asked for the meaning of her name, her smile widened. She was making good friends around here, so far. "My name means 'Palm Tree,'" she explained, the tip of her tail twitching.

The golden tiger stood next to Bellatrix, then he noticed her tail wrapped around his legs. He looked down, then watched as he turned away in embarrassment. Neptune walked and rubbed his side against hers.
Neptune couldn't help himself. He walked up to the cub, and he laid down in front of the cub. Looking at him, with a grin on his face. "Bo, that's a nice name. No matter the meaning."
The cub twiddled his paws. Then looked up, and spoke some more. "Just because your name means precious doesn't mean you weak, that is true. But it also doesn't mean you can't be precious. Precious doesn't exactly mean weak, you see. It means you are important to someone, maybe that's why you were named what you are."
Neptune laid still. Looking at the cub's face. Neptune looked back at the female's as they spoke. "I am named after Greek Mythology. Most wild felines don't know of Greek Mythology. But my name means God of the Sea. And I'm proud of it." Neptune smiled at the cub. The small clouded leopard was so small compared to Neptune.

Eyes jumping to each feline surronding me, I ended on the distant lion. His presence made me uneasy, though I felt somehow safe surronded by three others much larger than the silent one. Even with this noted, my eyes held a thick coating of anxiety. Who am I to say I can trust these tigers? One claw, a single claw lash, and I will be dead. Keep on alert, Bo. Not all smiles lead to kindness. I again focused on the male, for he was speaking to me again.
Maybe I had been precious to my parents. But why me above my other siblings? Was it because my eyes were big? Well, not big...my eyes were normal. It was my body that was freakish. I was the runt of their brood. This thought made me shudder and look away from the male tiger subconciously. His name had to do with a human god. I didn't believe in gods, unlike my folks and siblings, but it made me feel insignificant besides Neptune. Someone named after a mighty beast was not to be reckoned with. How could I ever belong here? How could I learn from this male? Maybe I should rely on the other tom nearby...
But as I glanced to the stranger again, I threw aside that idea. No, I think I will stick to solitude. And again I looked to my shuffling paws. "Your humans must have held you at high regards for you to be named after one of their gods." I used the term humans, unaware that it may be foriegn to some creatures. To most, the humans were merely Murder Apes. But I'd hung around those large canines too long, my cage near their training arena. They called the twolegged beasts humans so, naturally, I did too.

Bellatrix smiled at Neptune before turning her attention to the cub. "So, Bo." She grinned at him. "What brings you here?" The unmoving male lion made her nervous, shifting she tried not to focus on him even though her senses screamed at her. OOC:// D: I am sorry its so short.

"Are you looking for something? Or do you just like to travel?" Yesenia questioned the cub, adding to Bellatrix's previous words. She frowned at the other male, then returned her attention to Bo, Bellatrix, and Neptune. He was sure quiet... She nearly laughed, realizing for the first time Neptune was laying down in front of the cub. Gosh, that was awfully cute!
WOOC; Bellatrix, you are doing far better than me xD

The tiger had laid down in front of me when speaking earlier, and the move only now processed through my constantly moving brain. Again I shuffled my paws, taking a deep intake of breath, reading his scent. It didn't hold blood, which was only common amoungst killers. Perhaps these three were not so dangerous (the stranger was too far for me to really read), but I couldn't chance risks. Risks were dangerous. Danger was death.
Turning my anxiety filled eyes to the females, who questioned my motive, I thought for a second. Be honest and say I had no parents, so I merely traveled wherever fate took me? Or perhaps that my parents were hunting? "My parents are hunting rabbits, so they assigned me some square milage to look through for an evening den." Lies, so many lies. But to survive, one must be strong. To be strong, one must do anything in their power to fool a threat. "My daddy is big and strong." I added that in with, what I hoped to be, a hint of a threat. If they thought a snow leopard was strong, perhaps they'd leave me alone. I knew it was unlogical; tigers could easily beat a snow leopard. But hey, I couldn't take it back now. "He teaches me how to fight." I finally had to redrop my eyes to my paws. I couldn't let them read the unhonesty.

Neptune laid still, listening to the females, and the cub speak. The cub spoke to Neptune about his name, "My parents were named after human's gods. And so was I." Neptune smiled. Then he looked at Bellatrix as she spoke to the cub. Then he listened to Yesenia. Neptune heard the cub reply, saying he was sent out by his parents. And that his father is strong. "Oh really?" Neptune smiled, and chuckled as Bo said his father was teaching him how to fight. "I'm sure you're one great fighter then. Right?" Neptune's smiled never left his face,
Neptune liked this cub, and Neptune wasn't worried bout anyone's father coming. Cause wouldn't allow another male to waltz on his mountains. Neptune gave himself the title, the nickname: Master of the Mountains. And he would defend his title from any aggressive males.

My chest puffed out at the males remark, eyes holding that of male pride. "I am going to be a very strong alpha male, daddy used to say." I was quick to catch my mistake. "I mean, that's what he says. He still says it. Because I will be. He's teaching me." My puffed chest deflated as I grew flustered, awkwardly shuffling my paws, eyes glued to my own movement. Damnit, Bo! Self-disgust broke through every vein. I was no good at this lying for survival thing. No wonder the humans had wanted to toughen me up. I was a male, made to be strong and proud. And yet, I was pathetic. My parents runt, the precious idiot who was unable to do a damn thing right.
"I'm a damn screwup. What the Hell." I mumbled it, though my voice was slightly louder than intended. As I realized the thought had come out verbally, I couldn't manage to meet their gazes, so I lowered down to my stomach, eyes closed and facing the ground. "Please don't eat me." Now you just look mental, moron.

Bellatrix walked up to the cub and nuzzled his head, "Darling We would never do a thing like that." Bellatrix hoped it was true for the others. She continued to nuzzle him for a few more moments. "Now tell us the truth. Lies do have a scent." She sat down next to the cub and waited patiently.
